Live tournament tracker for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Group standings, knockout bracket, Golden Boot race, and head-to-head team comparisons — with live scores via adaptive polling and every kickoff shown in your own time zone. Installable as a PWA and built to keep working even when the data feeds go down.

Site and back office for a real events business.

The web presence for a balloon-decor company serving the Greater Toronto and Vancouver areas — hero animation, gallery with automated image manifests, hidden RSVP event pages, and booking forms with email confirmations. I run the whole tech side: website, email, and invoicing.

QR codes with custom styling — no account, no server.

A generator for nine QR content types (URL, WiFi, vCard, calendar, and more) with shape and gradient styling, drag-and-drop logo embedding, and PNG/SVG export. Everything runs client-side in the browser; designs and named templates persist locally.

The Ledger

A running account of what I’ve built, shipped, and been trusted with. Kept here partly for you — mostly for me.

  1. Building a self-hosted ERP for a client that designs and manufactures oil and gas valves, wellheads, and Christmas trees. Department by department — HR first, then QC, finance, and procurement — each a CRUD app collecting data that used to live on paper, all running on the company’s own server infrastructure. Source ↗

  2. Consulting for small businesses (Shopify optimization, SEO, store setup), prototyping SaaS products with Next.js and Supabase, learning to build faster with AI tools, and running the tech behind Haus of Balloons. Also run a Persian-language YouTube channel on markets, stocks, and investing philosophy. YouTube ↗

  3. World Cup 2026 Teams & Stats, the Haus of Balloons site, and SimpleQR — all designed, built, and deployed within six weeks. All three are live and in use today.

  4. Data Analyst on Aecon’s Project Controls team (PMO), running cost control on a ~$160M portfolio of heavy construction — including the York and Goreway battery energy storage systems (~$120M combined) built for Capital Power. Earned-value tracking, SAP data pipelines that saved 5 hours a week, and Power BI dashboards the project teams actually used.

  5. Built a Python system that parsed contracts and audited billing discrepancies, expediting the audit of 30,000+ agreements. Automated weekly PostgreSQL/Snowflake data pulls with Alteryx, cutting a 3–4 hour job to 1 hour.

  6. Led a full-cycle in-house fleet management data platform — database design, automated workflows, and Power BI dashboards for senior leadership. Geospatial fuel analysis with Python and Databricks that turned sensor data into real cost savings.

  7. Redesigned an e-commerce client’s site and SEO for a 50% traffic increase, and built a marketing site for an ad agency targeting the Qatar 2022 World Cup — six years before shipping my own World Cup app.

  8. A data-privacy platform helping people understand and control their personal data. Backed by startup programs and accelerators, featured at conferences, installed by 2,000+ users. Led design, business development, and the dev team.

  9. B.Eng. Materials Engineering with an Economics minor at McMaster (2018), M.Eng. Aerospace at Toronto Metropolitan University (2020). Before that: research engineer co-op at ArcelorMittal Dofasco, developing a data-driven method for assessing steel quality with X-ray emissions.

About

I’m an engineer in Toronto who’s spent a career where spreadsheets meet heavy machinery — analyzing fleets, auditing thirty thousand contracts, and running cost control on $160M of construction, including two grid-scale battery storage projects.

Somewhere along the way I started automating the boring parts, and never stopped. These days I build web apps end-to-end: design, code, deploy. I like tools that do their job without asking for an account, systems that run themselves, and shipping something real over polishing something imaginary.

This site doubles as my own ledger — a running record of what I’ve built.
